The TC20 is a cost-effective general purpose omni microphone for live sound and recording situations. It is flat across the entire audio band, and it sounds incredibly natural. The TC20 effortlessly handles huge signals , up to 150dB SPL, while simultaneously capturing subtle details. It has no proximity effect and no handling noise. For recording, its value is obvious!
You can use the TC20 to close-mic louder stationary sources like guitar amps, bass drums and pianos. A "Big Band" can be amplified for live purposes with a pair of TC20s positioned close to the front row. An TC20 positioned beneath the bridge of a standup bass simply nails the sound. And, a jazz drum kit never sounded better than when mic'ed with a pair of TC20s!
The TC20 can also be used as a reality check during system set up in your studio or on stage. Although it is not a calibrated mic, the TC20 is essentially flat from 20Hz to beyond 20kHz. Real Time Analysis, monitor the spectral content, or to look for resonances and feed back - the TC20 can do it all.
Whether you use it live, to record, or to ring out your room or hall, the TC20 is an amazing value!
